Vilhjálmur joined Árnason Faktor in 2022 as a patent specialist, prior to that he worked as an adjunct lecturer in Physical Chemistry at University of Iceland. Vilhjálmur was involved in scientific research between the years 2012 to 2022, both in Iceland and in Germany, and taught at the University of Iceland between the years 2013 to 2022. Vilhjálmur graduated with his doctorate in (theoretical) physical chemistry from the University of Iceland in 2021.
